pasting image from website wont work!

ok, so you’re using photoshop, you’ve a few files opened… you copy a .gif, or .jpg from a web site, and paste it into photoshop, after a while, it wont let you do this anymore.

sick of closing photoshop, and opening it again, there has to be a simple way to fix this.

anyone know?

Rob,

Sounds like you might have a system resource problem with your computer. PSE will eat up a lot of memory. How much memory do you have on what kind of OS? But, if closing out the program and reloading allows you to again work, I would make sure not to have any more programs than necessary open when using PSE. Instead of reloading you might try Edit> Purge>All when things get stalled, this will clean out memory and free it up for more tasks. This option will delete your steps in History but not delete your working file.
