Is there a soft filter with the same effect it has on film. I use a 6×6 transparency holder for all my soft shots. The effect cannot be bettered. I have used two layers of the same image – Gaussian blur and transparency at 40%. This has a similar effect but not quite what IĀ’m after. Without paying out too much, have you got a suggestion?

Not to take away from elements cause anything can be done in elements BUT you have to get this freebie download…it’s great !

Micheal,

The plug in Jodi mentioned works pretty well indeed. There is only one difference: real soft focus like with the Carl Zeiss Softar filters show the soft focus effects mainly by diffusing the highlights over the darker parts. This plug in -and AFAIK- all others diffuse the dark parts as well.
Sometimes I prefer to use the Softars again when covering weddings.

Michael, is there a website where we can see your work?
I am curious.
