I have some files which were created in CS2 which include gray text which should print as a solid gray.

I have recently upgraded to CS3 and the gray content now prints with a halftone dot. I have tried deleting and recreating the text but the print is still halftone.

Where is the option to print solid color in CS3?

Thanks

which should print as a solid gray.

Nothing prints as solid grey unless you use a spot colour.

In most forms of printing, grey is screened black by definition.

Yes but whereas I used to see solid color when printing from CS2, I now see large dots in gray areas (black still prints solid)

How are you printing?

Assuming it’s a Postscript printer what’s the linescreen set at?
