I was pressing various Key commands trying to figure out some shortcuts. Now when I go to move an object in a layer, a white frame appears around it for a second, then disappears.

I don’t think this was ever there before, and I can’t figure out how to turn it off. Can any one help?

My guess is that you may have "Show Selection Edges" checked in the View menu.

That’s not it but thanks for the suggestion. When I click on a layer to move the object, a little white rectangle pops up for about a second or half second. It almost seems like there is a little bit of a delay and snap after I start moving the mouse too. I’m looking all over and can’t figure it out.

What exact version of Photoshop? What exact version of the OS? What model of Mac?
