My computer is an AMD FX-53 CPU, (64-bit), on a ASUS SK8N Motherboard running Window-XP-PRO and the BROWSE function no longer works either from Welcome Window, FILE/BROWSE or WINDOW/FILE-BROWSER.

Before repair after lightning damage, the CPU was an FX-51 and the BROWSE function worked OK.

FILE/OPEN can be used and images viewed by clicking on image-numbers.

Any suggestions??

Fred,

You say that it doesn’t work anymore from any of the ways … what happens when you try to do it? is it grayed out? or does the browser window just not appear at all

A couple of things to try are:

Windows>Reset palette locations

Delete prefs …. To do that close down Elements then click on the start up icon and quickly hold down the Control, Alt and Shift keys (If you are a Mac user Apple, Alt and Shift). Continue to hold down all three keys until you get a screen asking if you want to delete Settings … just say Yes.

Wendy et al,
Thanks for the reply. BAD news is that exactly nothing happened when I hit any of the three options for BROWSE except the initial window disappeared and wouldn’t come back.
The GOOD news is that a second re-installation and complete TURN-OFF and TURN-ON seems to have solved the problem.
