Have not been able to obtain updates to Photoshop Elements 2.0.2 since I bought it in Feb 2004. When I start the program it sometimes goes looking for updates on its own. I then always first get the dialog box, "Updating Adobe Online Components fr…" It also states that its downloading file 1 of 2 and apparently the first file it’s looking for is "AWEXFiles.txt"

Before anything happens the message, "Adobe Online Error" appears and says the file could not be downloaded (http://cqi..tform=0DLL ver2.8.3AONVer=2.8.3.3). "An unknown internet error occurred. 21:20"

Are there updates available? If so, how do I resolve the problem? I have no problems downloading updates from other software sources. I’m running Win XP Home on Dell Inspiron 5150 notebook WITH 512 mb ram.

There are no updates available. You can set it to never check for updates and avoid any delays.
