Elements closes when saving files

I can scan 4 slides at 3200 dpi then save them as tiff files ok for the first time. When I try the save as on the next 4 slides after scanning Elements closes. Does anyone know why this might be happening. I’m using Windows XP professional, and have 256k ram.

Sounds like you are running up against a memory issue. The file sizes for those scans must be pretty big, and 256M (I’m sure you don’t really mean 256k) is not a lot of memory for a modern system on which you intend to use memory intestive programs like PE. Get another 256M simm and I bet the problem is ameliorated.

I think you are right about the memory, and yes I did mean 256M. I’ll give that a try and see what happens.
