Retouching with paint brush, can’t get colored paint brush.

Can’t retouch with paint brush in color.
I select the color with the eyedropper. Then click the foreground color. get color picker. click OK. Then select paint brush. Then try to remove scratches. can’t get color. only the black & white outline of the brush.
Mode set to RGB.
Can you help me solve this problem.

Are you sure that you are using the paintbrush? as it sounds like you maybe using the Selection brush Tool. Just check for me … the paintbrush is the sixth tool down on the left hand side.
