Does anybody knows the difference between the download version and the box version (apart from having ps on a cd/dvd)?

Yes. The box version is the one which is shipped. What is exactly in there? CD, Manual, Any additional things on CD?

In CS2 there were some addtional things on the CD (Stock Photos) which I haven’t received with the download version.

Sigh. 🙁

He meant the only difference is THE BOX!

And he’s right. The box contains 2 DVDs and some promotional material.

No manual, nothing.

Ahh….sorry for beeing slow of the mark….thanks for your clarification…

One additional question, the download is 706 MB, but in the Box are 2 dvds. That’s a lot more space "used". What is on the dvd additional? Just ressource material?

The additional disc in the box contains video tutorials for PSCS3, as well as some of the other programs in the Creative Suite. I believe, though, that those same video tutorials are available from Adobe’s web site.
