Hiya. I know practically nothing about Photoshop, so try to be gentle with me. I’m using PS 7.0.1.

I need to enlarge a 24 bit greyscale image, filling the added pixels with intermediate shades of grey. Is there a way to do this?

For example, if I have a white pixel next to a black pixel and I enlarge the image by 4x, I want the added pixels between the white pixel and the black pixel to be graduated shades of grey between black and white.

THanks for the help.

Image -> Image size.

Check "resample image"

Use Bicubic smoother (or if it’s not available in PS7, Bicubic) interpolation

Note that this will not create detail that isn’t there in the first place.
