I have been into photography for a little bit and have been using Elements. Am now looking to move onto next step with CS2.

As such, I am looking to sign up for a class. Any suggestions. I was looking into the NYIP Digital Course. Any other suggestions?

If you are a photographer your next step might be Lightroom rather than the lovable monster that is Photoshop CS2.

If you are quick you can download beta 4.1 of Lightroom (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/lightroom/) before it expires at the end of Feb.

As for learning more about CS2 or digital photography let Google and a good bookstore/library be your friends. I can’t comment on classes in the NY area but consider joining a photo club.

The Luminous Landscape web site is also a great resource.

Oh, and take lots of pictures.

DVD tutorials are out there. Some of them are on eBay. I highly suggest the one put out by the people at TotalTraining in San Diego. You can get it at different prices all over the ‘net, so shop around. Very professional outfit the TotalTraining people are, with a 3 DVD package that has twenty some hours of instruction. They also have a great technical support and customer support crew. I’ve spoken to them on the phone more than once, so I’m basing this on a little experience.
