Hi,

Does anyone know of a better way to create this kind of shot in photoshop (or in camera – Canon 50D), rather than loading them into seperate layers, then deleting the background from all but the bottom layer?

Thanks

Is the background absolutely identical in all shots? If so, you could stack them in Layers and just roughly delete or mask out the backgrounds on each one

Hi Ed,

Yes. The sequence will be taken on a tripod with a remote shutter release in high speed burst mode.

Can auto blend layers in CS4 be used for this sort of thing?

If the background is identical, it is easy to stack the images, mask them entirely and then ‘paint’ back in with a paintbrush or other favourite tool on the masks. Like masking backwards, you ‘unmask’ the bit you want, it is easy! Leave the main background image, then start with the next backmost image and work forward.

mick,

If they are identical no blending should be necessary.
