save to legacy version

hello you lovely experts.

I’m using cs2 – and my client is on 5.5 – how can I save my psd to version 5.5 – can’t find it anywhere???

Just save it. Avoid any new features.

You can’t.

Files should open in 5.5 but any features that are "new" or different in CS2, like Smart Objects will not come over correctly.

Ok, thanks, I think the only thing I’ve used is a colour overlay – so no probs there?

I’m using cs2 – and my client is on 5.5

I always supply my clients with flattened TIFFs. You don’t want them buggering about with your complicated layer sets do you! 😉

In any case, TIFF is a more universal format, cross platform and vintage versions of Photoshop!
