10-15 second delay after splash screen

I’m running CS2 9.0.2 on Vista RTM and I have an annoying issue. After the splash screen disappears and the pallets display, there is a 10-15 second delay when the program is unresponsive.

Any ideas?

This happens to me on Windows XP Pro. CS3 doesn’t seem to do this. I don’t know what causes it but it doesn’t happen to everyone. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

I’m on 9.0.2, still using old-fashioned Windows XP Pro … with the EXACT same problem. Just my 2
