We have recently started using the European equivalent – 2100 – and are very impressed with the results. Being a pigment based machine, it is quite touchy about paper types but, given a compatible paper, the results in colour are spectacular. I have seen some suggestions that it is not so good at black&white, but have not tried that yet, so cannot comment.

I recommend Ilford Gallerie papers – they seem to produce at least as good quality as the Epson papers and are cheaper. You need a very fast drying paper in order to avoid smearing.
