Copyright symbols Photoshop 6.0?

I have figured out how to use the character map to insert copyright symbols and have tried Microsoft Word also but whenever I try to insert the copyright symbol in Photoshop it always gives me an alternate symbol and I don’t know why this is. Any Suggestions?

You should get a © if you hold down the alt key type 0169 on the numeric pad. If you just type 169 you will get ? the upper ASCII character. Hopefully that will work.
