When I buy different print media, they often come with Color Profiles for the paper and my printer an Epson 1280. I am able to download the profiles and put them in the proper file in Windows, but I can’t seem to access them when I print.

Does PS Elements 2 allow me to use these Profiles? if so, how can I access them when I print?

thanks
Alan

File/Print Preview
Make sure Show More Options is checked.
In Window: Color Management
Print Space: Profile (select the profile)
Intent: Think most use Perceptual here
Black Point Compensation: Think most use Yes.

Then be prepared to set it back to Same as Source or Printer Color Management if it looks worse this way 🙂

Just in case :

Profile locations:-

1) Windows 98, 98 Second Edition and Me – folder named windows/system/color
2) Windows 2000 and XP – sub-folder named system32/spool/drivers/color
3) Mac OS9.x – ColorSync profiles are located in the System Folder/ColorSync Profiles folder
4) Mac OSX – ColorSync profiles are located in the Library/ColorSync/Profiles folder
