foreground/background colors

This is a new annoyance. When I use the eyedropper, the background color changes to the color I’ve chosen and the foreground remains the last used. That means I have to switch them, then reselect white as the background–til the next time. I am too lazy and impatient for that!

Well, yes, that too, but that doesn’t seem to solve the problem. I can’t seem to make the background (or foreground) color stay white. I don’t mind having to switch between the two as long as one is white.

Hit "D" (for default colors) to reset them perhaps?

That and hitting the box above the colors are good work-arounds, requiring just two extra keystrokes, and I may have to settle for that. I suppose that if this is my worst problem, I shouldn’t complain. I would like to know why this suddenly started happening, though, so I could return to the lazy way.
