They are absolutely stunning. Must be that all the best photographers use Nikon. πŸ˜‰

From the Adobe Forums Canon Users Committee we can only say "OUCH".

VERY nice photos, Cal. I especially like the cat hiding in the grass too. I think you and Grant can make this "hateful camera" do magic! I don’t have a Nikon…but I am still learning how to make my Olympus do what the reviews said it could. πŸ˜‰

I took some macro shots of my new hydrangea this week after a brief morning rain shower and I’m very pleased with the results.

Cool …. I have always seen hydrangea shot from further out but I am going to steal a page from your book and get really up and personal with them from now on. Geeeh … I hate it when I am a thief.

Woops … didn’t mean to start a war … in fact I lump Canon users in with Nikon users because, after all, Canons are just cheap Nikon knock-offs πŸ˜‰

Please do! I’d love to see what the D70 (and you) does with them. The color of this hydrangea is just unreal so it will probably get photographed often. I got it for myself for Mother’s Day. πŸ™‚ I should probably take some "actual size" photos to contrast with the macros.

ya, I’ll rephrase that; great photographers ‘use’ their cameras πŸ™‚ …..any camera has worth if it is used and abused…in a good way πŸ˜‰ ….give the ‘users’ a $79 Barbie digital and I’ll be willing to bet that you’ll see some ‘ oooooohh~~~~aaaaaahhhh’ pics out of ’em.

Patti, your images are really beautiful !

Cal and Patti,

Very cool pix. Keep up the great work.

Jodi,

Maybe I’ll check that out for my oldest grand daughter. I think it’s time for her.

A friend of mine uses even cheaper equipment than a $79 Barbie digital. She makes here own cameras, true she also has Hassies and Nikons and …. but her real art is in pin hole. Here work hangs in some of the best galleries in the world. Take a look at her web site http://www.diannebos.com/ and some of her work http://www.kostuikgallery.com/dynamic/artist.asp?ArtistID=2

Cal, the details in these pictures are fantastic. I, also, loved the Cat but the next one of the fence and woods is my very favorite.

Thanks for sharing. Is this camera up for Rentals? lol

Cal,

Another cat person voting for the cat photo. The butterfly was particularly nice, too.

Patti,

That hydrangea’s colors are stunningly subtle and you captured it so well. You should buy more presents for yourself. πŸ™‚

What pussycat? πŸ˜‰

You produced some nice soft focus images of these white flowers with the difficult name. Maybe you should do the same trick with the image of the footpath with fence. Add some warm colours and it will be like in a fairy tale.

"Woops … didn’t mean to start a war … in fact I lump Canon users in with Nikon users because, after all, Canons are just cheap Nikon knock-offs"

Thanks for the info. All this time I just thought Nikons were rebuilt Canons. πŸ™‚

Cal, lovely stuff.

Grant, I saw on Ebay that someone was selling a ‘precision-made’ pinhole body cap for Canon cameras. Jeez, I KNEW there was some reason I chose Canon over Nikon! πŸ™‚

Thanks so much everyone, I am really encouraged. Leen will try to rework that woodland photo, I had never thought of doing that.

Once again thanks to all
