At a client request I just downloaded Euro otf from the Adobe site and installed into my volume>library>fonts as directed after unstuffing them. I’ve restarted the software and then the entire system. The new fonts show up in the font list but when I apply them to text it only creates those funky boxes. Other otf fonts in my list are working fine. What did I do wrong? (I’m in Mac Leopard using CS3.)

Isn’t that font only for the currency symbol?

If so, you’ll get rectangles for all of the keys except the "$" sign in Euro.

Rene,

That would be "€" not "$".

You are right! I see that now. I’ll have to ask the client for a more specific font name. Thanks!

Yeah, option-shift-2 (on a Mac)
