I am currently running a Macbook Pro 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and a G5 Dual 2.7 GHz PPC, both with OSX 10.4.11 and Lightroom 2 as well as Creative Suite Design Premium.
I have OSX 10.5.4 to upgrade, and I will be receiving the upgrade from CS3 to CS4.
Because I am not sure if there are any code issues with registration or the like during installation I’d like an opinion from someone with Adobe:
Do I upgrade the CS4 Design Premium first or do I upgrade from OSX 10.4.11 to OSX 10.5.4 first.
I figured I would ask first because I don’t want to be on the phone with Adobe Tech for hours like my last installation with CS3.

Do a search. There has been lots of talk about problems with Leopard. For me Tiger is rock solid not to mention the fact I am running some software that would have to be upgraded to move to Leopard. I am running a first generation Mac Pro and glad for that because the later MP’s run only Leopard.
Ramon, I haven’t visited the Apple boards for some time because I have not had issues to resolve. Am I the only one having a pleasant experience with my Macs?
I am running Leopard 10.5.5 and it is working fine here as we all know rhere are always going to be people who have problems for various reasons and none of them are of course because of their errors.
My Mac is running solid and I would say that I do things with it that should bring down any computer but it id running just fine and Photoshop CS 4 is running just fine, pretty solid.
And I am running a first generation Mac Pro and I think that Adobe seems to have released a pretty stable group of applications.
But as I say there will always be people who experience problems.
There’s nothing for you to bite. If you can’t explain why a system that you do not use is not suited for a version of Photoshop that you do not use, then the fool is quite apparent.

he has been given the best advice that I see. spend your money on CS4. It works just fine in Tiger, yes it works in Leopard but if you have limited funds the choice is clear. Forget Leopard and get CS4. Why anyone would want to argue over this I can’t imagine. Oh thats right Jim likes to argue about anything.

Perhaps you should not have. The problem is some of the responders in this thread do not know anything about how CS4 works with 10.5 to make any qualified comment. Instead of having a decent discussion, some turn to insults because they cannot explain the use of 10.5 and CS4.

Oblak counts on getting his threads not just shut down but deleted. Unfortunately, his slander and insults are publicly recorded elsewhere on the web. I have contemplated civil action in Federal Court, just so he has to come to California for his appearance or retain an attorney to do make the appearance for him, and I keep the option of going the criminal complaint route now.
