Make a duplicate layer, fix the skin color and then erase the portions of the duplicate layer that you want to have remain the original green.
Thanks. What would you suggest I do to fix the skin color?
Lots of choices. Try Image/Adjustments/Color Balance or Image/Adjustments/ Hue/Saturation and note that there are also various sub-settings or channels to entertain you. 🙂
try
Image> Adjustments> Selective Color (Method: Absolute)
Red:
Drag the Cyan slider -15
Drag Yellow +5
Drag Magenta + up to 7
that should pop the skin tones back where you want (and is a smaller move here)
also look at the other colors beside red, Neutral for example (drag Magenta a couple +)
Black is also very useful here, too…
Calibrate your monitor, and explain where and how you see a green tint.
The first steps to any color correction should be to determine where the highlight and shadow points are in the image and set them to where they need to be. If there is a neutral, set that at the same time. If there’s still a color cast after that, then you can address that. The preferred tool for these steps is almost always a Curves Adjustment Layer. For images where skintones have a green cast due to the surrounding foliage, a simple move to the Green channel curve is usually enough to combat the cast. A side benefit of a movement in the Green curve is that reducing the overall green will also tend to add contrast in the foliage itself, which is usually a good thing. If there is still a problem after using Curves, then you can consider H/S or Selective Color for fine tuning, but it’s amazing at how many "cast" problems simply go away when you set the endpoints.
