save layers as pictures

hi, i want to save the layers as pictures (each layer to picture) and save it in minimal width & height (i mean layer will save witout the background, only the specific layer height&width), there is anyway to do that? thanks.

* Select first layer

* Flatten image

* Crop

* Save As

* Step back two history steps (Ctrl+Alt+Z Ctrl+Alt+Z)

* Select next layer

* Repeat as necessary

What version of Photoshop do you have? Versions 7 and newer have scripts for this either built in or downloadable. The cropping you need to do separately, but that can be automated too.
