My PC motherboard died and I am in the process of doing a major upgrade and replacement of the motherboard, processor, RAM, but not the HDD’s. I assume XPP will ask for a fresh install since it is not seeing the "original" hardware. How will that affect CS2? If I have to install a CS2 over again, will I be bounced out of the activiation key since it thinks it is already installed. *NOTE: I also have it installed on a laptop and per the license I can have it on two machines.

You might need to call customer services and explain so they can reset your activation.

If it’s been a while since last time you might be okay. I gather it automatically resets after a certain period for this very reason.
