pictures have a red cast on faces

Im running adobe photo shop elements 2.0. the pictures look fine on my monitor. but when I go and print them out theres a red cast. how do I resolve this problem?

We’ll need to know something about your system and printer before we can get too specific. In general , if you have calibrated and profiled your display using the Adobe Gamma utility , you should be able to get pretty close printer output, but there are a ton of variables.

im working with the epson stylus photo rx500 and im running windows 2000 prof.

Are you using genuine Epson paper and the Epson profiles ( applied with print preview ) ? < http://www.computer-darkroom.com/ps7_print/ps7_print_mac_2.h tm> is a tutorial on Printing in Photoshop 7, the driver and print preview settings are the same for your printer and elements . Basically, in the print driver you select your paper and print resolution ( 1440 , perhaps ) and "No Color Adjustment" in the Advanced tab. In the print preview area, select your media profile in the Output: print space dropdown box. A really good explanation is in the tutorial.
