My Type is Invisible

I have a problem with my type. At first no matter what size I clicked for the font size the guide bar was the size of a small flea and the type was invisible. The next day, I clicked for the size of the font and it showed up correctly. The guide bar was the appropriate size according to the size I clicked. But the type is still invisible, no matter the color of the background or color of font. It does this no matter what the image I’m trying to type on is. Invisible type. 🙁

Check to see if you have the type mask tool selected instead of the type tool — look at the options bar where you set the font. You could also try resetting the type tool.
