There is no best – it depends on what needs to be done. That’s like asking who’s the best artist, in a way.

If you are looking for retouching help however, a visit to <http://www.retouchpro.com> will be quite helpful, I’m sure.

Katrin Eismann’s book "Photoshop Restoration & Retouching" is one of the best I’ve seen.

Yup, even though former President Bubba’s favorite girl asked for a tutorial, Katrin’s book is the one to have. I see it as a fine collection of super-tutorials bound into a single volume.

The CD based tutorials that come with the Digital Photo magazine, UK publication, are exceedingly well presented (particularly those presented by the Editor Jon Adams). If you collect them you can build up an excellent library. Back issues are readily available. The monthly disk includes other great features. A great magazine.
