I have a series of party shots I want to resize and assemble into a slide show. I want to automate the process. Some are vertical, most horizontal.
Now, I want first to resize the image so that they are, say, 8×10 at 300dpi. The problem is this; I cannot automate it using size, as I have to enter height and width numbers. Of course the height of a horizontal 8×10 is 8, a vertical 8×10 is 10. If I automate using the horizontal I’ll get 8 x10, but the verticals will be 8×6.4. So, without setting a different action depending on orientation, can I set size up such that the long dimension is 10 (or whatever) and the short would be 8 (again whatever), ignoring the orientation?
I can’t be the only one who has had this problem!
