ColorSync Profile under XP?

Hi ,
I’m running Photoshop CS 2 on windows xp system. I’m following an article to make a custom color profile, the article meant to MAC users. in some point I been told to save all profiles to the ColorSync Profile folder.

Why it need to be saved there and what is the eualent for this under XP ?

That’s for a Mac.

On my Windows 2000 system, colour profiles are in:

C:\winnt\system32\spool\drivers\color\*.icc

(for XP replace "winnt" for "windows")

Thnks

Should i load it as a color managment file for my nvidia graphic card? and…it gives the option to save it as *.csf and not #.icc ???

If you right click on the icc profile name in Windows Explorer and select Install Profile from the context menu, Windows will install the profile and copy it to the correct folder.

I assume you want to create a custom monitor profile to calibrate your monitor. If so, your calibration software generally will place the profile in the profile folder for you and set it to the default display profile. You might want to check that it did so.
