I’ve found an ad for this device in a box of DVD-R… It’s kinda of cool!

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work under Mac OS. But my guess is that with the keyboard, you don’t actually need to hook it up to the computer for basic disc writing.

At first glance, it seems kind of an odd animal. <scratches head> You would need non-printable CDs or DVDs, and you’d have to make sure they have large, unprinted areas (since you’ll be printing on a disc without the benefit of choosing a background). If you have to be that picky about what discs you use, you might as well get ink jet printable discs and use an inexpensive printer like an Epson R300. It’s only US$179 and prints in full color. It has individual ink cartridges (count ’em–six!), does great photo prints, and is Mac and Windows compatible, to boot.
