Does photohops have any file recovery system?

One of my students’s photoshop file became correupted when the computer crashed. Is there anything she could do? There is a temp file, but i’m lead to believe that it’s pretty useless for recovery.

No.

No. The file is gone. Sorry…

Remember, always keep backups, and always save multiple versions of important files! If you think you don’t have time to keep backups, you’re sure to lose everything eventually…

If PS crashed whilst saving the file and there is a .tmp file in the folder the save was attempted to then you may be in luck: rename the .tmp file to have the extension the file was meant to have and you might be able to open it. Worked once here with PS6.0.1 – user was mightily relieved.
