I can see it.
I rode my bicycle past a patch of daffodils this weekend. Northwest here. Ah…it must be spring or soon to come.
Sorry bout that, folks. I forget there are those reading these posts on newsreaders. I’ll include a link in the future.
Dick
71 and sunny with a light breeze in Fletcher!
Dick, i had to laugh…spring certainly isn’t far for southern folk such as yourself….beautiful image though. i can’t wait !
Three weeks ago the sparrows enjoyed a meal of crocuses I paid for. ;-(
Leen
Hmmm….didn’t know you could embed a picture in a forum message! Maybe that came up before but I was probably asleep. Score one for the web side!!

Funny you should mention this. While the snow is not totally gone there is enough green to start inspect my garden. There are a few things starting to sprout there are also all sorts of freshly dug holes. I suspect the squirrels are feasting at my expense.

Life is like that, every change comes with a win and a loss. But you do still have those Mamiyas sitting around. Photo graph your prints then dance on the negatives!

A Dutch colleaugeu tapes his nagatives to the street, waits until six cars have passed before removig it again. He also "cooks" negatives in a microwave etc.
Quite a surprising kind of hotography:

Leen,
"hotography" ! I love it. However I couldn’t get the website to load properly, is the URL totally correct?
Dick
Jodi,
I remember living in Michigan and waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Then, ivariably it would skip from Winter to Summer!
I feel for you though……I’ll post more spring pix, that sould help. 🙂
Dick
You will need flash for this web sit and about 10% of computer users have chosen not to use flash. In this case I think it is a blessing. While the photographs are very exciting the web site is on of the most annoying I have ever been to.
Grant
Grant,
Thansk for the info. I thought I had it, but may have disabled it!
Grant,
Are you reading from the web or a newsreader? I just went back to the message center after posting my last reply and there is a copy of your post without a subject below the first one, hmmmmmmm….

I screwed up. You would think that the older I got the less I would do that but that is not the case.
g.
Nope, been there, oops…am there, doing that!
Leen,
I like the images of the photographer you mentioned. They all seem to have fun and have lost fear for the camera.
The introduction to the site itself is possibly one of the best ones I have come across in a long time. The lack of sound is very functional.

The design of his website is aimed at his target group, the young urban professionals, eager to spend a lot of money.

Hi Dick, I love to see the spring flowers! We are probably about 3 weeks away from our Crocussus. That is if the doggone squirrels don’t eat them, but the foxes eat the squirrels, thank goodness. I find the rodent-tails in the yard under the birdfeeders.
I never did figure how to view this forum on a newsreader, but I would rather be able to see the pictures and links, so I will stay with the Web.
But how do you put a picture here like you did, not thru a link to another web site?
That Dutch web site, wow, that is some fancy site, looks like a TV show. Too fancy for me. The Flash shows up fine on my Netscape 4 but my IE dislikes it.
Spring is right around the corner!
Jane
Jane,
First you have to have your image stored on a web site so the Forum can find it.
Here is the html code to do it:
img src="
http://www.yourdomain.com/picturefolder/filename.jpg" width="400" height="400"
I removed the < and > from the beginning and end but you have to put them their to display the picture. Substitute the correct wording for your situation.
Dick
EDIT: the width and height are adjustable, just pick a size that you want.
Hi Dick, Thanks for the info, I copied it so that when I finally GoLive me a page, I can do this! I use pbase now, and just put the link here.
Jane
I use pbase now, and just put the link here
Well, you know, Jane, those of us with slow dialup connections would much rather you do it that way.
Pbase is the best in my book too for many reasons. It is so easy to do and so cheap for so many pictures. No wonder I am so slow to make a real page.
(Nice to know how to put a picture here the other way though.) Thanks, Jane
Hi, Jane. Well, you could link to your own page just as easily, of course. I just meant that embedding a photo in a topic really sloooows things down for those of us with slow connections.
Get that mac! 😉
Barbar,
That is very true. When I do embed a pic I try to make it as small as possible to minimize the delay time.
Dick
