I would like to be able to display captions under photos in slide shows. Can this be done and, if so, how?

I haven’t used the PDF slideshow function in Elements, but I’m pretty sure the best way to add captions below a photo is to increase the canvas size (Image>Resize>Canvas Size), set the anchor point to top center, and then use the Text tool to add the caption in the new white canvas area that will appear below the image.
