Saving changed photos

If I work on a digital photo and then want to save it, what is the best format to do this in. I would if possible like to retain the EXIF info without any loss of detail.

I think most of the experts here would advise you to save in PSD format. If you want to later share the photo with somebody change the format to the more widely used JPEG. PSD does preserve the EXIF information without any loss from compression.
