Some say that composition can’t be taught, you either have the knack or you don’t. I disagree.

Hey, even Leonardo da Vinci went to art school! Well, maybe not art school as we think of it, but he was certainly sent at an early age to train with ‘masters’. Having a ‘flair’ for it may be innate, but there’s no substitute for knowledge.

There are certainly "rules" to composition that anyone can follow. What I think can’t be taught is how to break the rules and still get a great composition.

Some might argue that your post if off subject, but I found that it was RIGHT ON THE MARK. I think most of us are striving for better photographs. Composition has long been on my list of things I’m not good at. Thank you so much for sharing this great sight.
