Hi

I am very novice user of photoshop, I was wondering if someone can suggest some photoshop filter or techiniques by which i can reduce the glass reflection on the pictures, I took the pictures while in a car with car window up and there is a white reflection of a t-shirt , is there a way that I can set some kind of noise threshold to remove that white reflection,

thanks

The reflection isn’t noise, it’s a result of shooting through glass. You need to carefully copy "good over bad" to remove it. Depending on version of PS its a a job for the clone and patch tools. I also straightenend up the horizon.

Talker,

Many thanks for your comments, there is still a little ghosting (easily corrected)on the image but I limit myself to five minutes of corrections with these examples.

Can you point me to a tutorial that gives an idea of the process you used? I’ve looked at Google and can’t find anything so would appreciate a hint.

Richard,

Go to http://pixel2life.com in the first search box type Clone tool and in the second box, scroll down to Adobe Photoshop. Do it again for Patch tool (CS2 only)
A clone tool video here
http://www.tutorials-4-you.com/p7s_demo/demo_clone_stamp.htm l
The Clone and Patch tools are just that, tools and like any tool, practise is required to use them correctly. A problem with the Clone tool is that it is very easy to create repeating patterns, copying the same place over and over again to different parts of your image. Vary your sample points to minimise this, also, try cloning with different opacities, a good way to allow underlying texture to show through.
A "good" way to start with this tool is to select the tool (S on keyboard) then alt+click on an eye in a portrait and then click and paint onto the forehead. I once did a wedding group of about a dozen people and put the same face on every one, alt click a nose and start painting on another’s nose. They knew something was not quite right with the picture but couldn’t say what it was. It was one ugly bride!;)
Don’t forget, practise, practise, practise.

Regards

Mike H

Thanks much, Mike
Richard
