I am a new user to PhotoShop CS2. I’ve heard about and seen many things it can do.

However, maybe it’s right in front of me and I don’t see it but can I in Photoshop CS2 highlight an object/person from one photo and insert it in another photo? If not what other program would you suggest?

Thank You in advance for your help,

Joe

Here is one PART of the process

You need to have the image that you want to insert open then use the move tool.

Do google search

Hi Joe,

I’m rather new to photoshop as well, but it can be done!

There is no quick and easy way to select an object with one click and select a person.

Depending on the situation you might want to use the quick mask, or one of the lasso tools. My prefered method is the pen tool, since the body is usually just curves or nearly….

Good set of basic examples to get your head around the pen tool(well it helped me) is here:

Examples you can download and do, only listed for photoshop 5, but ive done them in cs2 fine!

Hi Joe! Yes, it’s very easy to do what you ask. First, click on the Lasso tool in the toolbar. Now, Trace around the object that you want to insert in another picture. Once you have traced around the objewct that you want to transfer, press "Ctrl-C" to copy the image. If you are using a MAC, I guess just go to "File-Copy". Now, click on the picture that you want to insert the image into. Now, click "Ctrl-V", or "File-Paste" if you’re using a MAC. (I don’t know MACs, so if there is another key that you can press instead of Ctrl, I don’t know what it is.)
This will place the copied image onto a new layer into the second image.(just make sure that you have the "layer" palette open so that you can shift between the background image, and the new image on the next layer.)
