Can you please tell me how to turn an already black and white photo into a sepia print?

Thanks

The black and white must be in RGB mode. Now there are two ways of doing this.

Version #1

View > Layer Styles > Photographic Effects > Sepia Tone

Version #2

Enhance > Adjust color > Hue Saturation > Click Colorize box > set Hue to 35
set Saturation to 25

Version one is easier but version two allows more leeway.

June,

In the Layer Styles palette, choose the Photographic Effects group, then choose Sepia.

June:

Version #2b

Instead of Enhance>Adjust Color>Hue/Saturation, do a Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Hue/Saturation>OK then click Colorize Box, set hue to 35 and saturation to 25, and hit OK. Doing it this way preserves your ability to go back in over and over again to adjust the parameters until you get exactly the effect you want, so long as you preserve the separate layers.

Grant, Byron, Chuck,Β—they all worked. Slight variances, but all good. Thanks so much, always feel so great when I get help I need.

My favourite: go to Variations and mix red and yellow in about equal proportions.

What a wonderful little product Elements is! Here we have a very straight forward problem to create a sepia and we have so far found not one but four ways of doing this. I think that is what they refer to as depth of product.
