I seem to remember that there is a way to make brushes, erasers, etc, go along a straight line, sort of like using (Mac) option-click when drawing with the lasso.

I’d often like to draw a brush along lines the same way.

Anyone remember how to do this?

Thanks!

Also a slight variation… click to establish beginning of line move mouse to end of line and shift-click.

Yes, I noted that Photoshop remembers the last click location, thanks.

Brush tool.

Click.

Shift-Click.

Shift-Click.

Connect the dots.

Beware of using a large brush with this technique. With the spacing set to the default (25%), you’ll get a scalloped look to the line you create. Solution – set the spacing to about 5%.

Or- make a path, and stroke the path which makes it far more uniform and repeatable.
