Greetings!

I have a saved Metadata Template with Copyright information, etc.

Why is it that if you start with a RAW image and save it as a .TIFF or .JPG, and then apply your own Metadata to the latter saved formats (via the template in this case), the copyright symbol will not show in the title bar when that image is opened in Photoshop?

However, if you’re shooting in .JPG you can apply the very same Metadata and the copyright symbol is present.

With respect to the RAW file, it appears that the only way you can get that copyright symbol in the format you are saving to is by first applying your Metadata to the RAW file. Then the copyright symbol will be present in both the RAW and the other formats.

Why is this?

Thanks!

Lyman
