I have a Fujifilm FinePix F601Z digital camera that I have set at 1Mpixel for taking pictures. When I upload a picture taken from the camera into Photoshop, it defaults to 72 pixels/inch resolution, 1280Wx960H pixels and a size of 17.778"Wx13.333"H. When I try to change the resolution to something more reasonable like 600 pixel/inch for a sharp printed copy, it just raises the 1280×960 to 10667×8000 and keeps the 17.778"x13.333" document size the same. The camera is supposed to take 1280×960 pixels pictures at the 1Mpixel setting, but I thought the document size should be more like 6"x4". How can I fix Photoshop so when I open my photographs the document size is smaller and the resolution is higher?
