Hello
Can anyone help me to get the technique to wash an image? I just want to apply a filter of variable opacity over the entire image. I have tried to create a new gradient with background to background, but cant save it or apply it. tia.

You can duplicate the layer, then apply the filter, then adjust the opacity of the duplicated layer. If you need more control, use a layer mask on your duplicated layer with the effect. You may use the gradient tool on your mask to reveal more or less in a gradual manner if you wish.
