Hi, I recently flatten my .psd file, scaled it to 50% then copied to make a smaller jpg version of it. I then went to close the file and clicked "Yes" to save changes instead of "No". Now I am stuck with a flat file that is half the physical size I need it to be.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to recover the old psd file?

Thanks for any help.

It’s toast. 🙁

You’ve overwritten the original data with the new I’m afraid.

I adopted a new habit after the same thing happened to me:

* Open the file
* Save-As (new filename/filetype)
* Flatten, resize, etc.
* Save and Close.
