OK i saw another thread on this but couldn’t find an answer that fit my situation.

Running Intel MAC with OSX 10.4.7 Photoshop CS2 9.0.2

Copy RAW images off my CF card via Photo Mechanic.
I then open a single RAW image into Photoshop CS2
Do minor corrections ie Curves/croping and File Info
then Save as converting to JPG to area on hard disk
I then get the Can not save *****.jpg becuase of a program error. I then shutdown photoshop and relaunch and can then save the image. When i get the error trying to save to hard disk i then try to save the image to CF card with no problems.

Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

Have you checked the hard disk for errors?

I have not checked the disk for errors. But i don’t think that is the problem. My IT guy suggested it might be a problem with the scratch disk?

I suggest that you run DiskWarrior on BOTH HDs before you do another thing so that you don’t end-up with an unreadable disk and permanently damaged, or lost, files.

Seriously.

That’s what Chris basically said in post one. Incase you did not know the scratch disk is a hard drive. I would do as Ann said and run Diskwarrior on all your drives.
