I wasn’t sure where to post this question as it could apply to any program. Is there a way to print lists of files in the Windows Explorer. For example I make submissions of digital images. There may be hundreds. Instead of typing in every image’s name, for my records, it would be so much easier if I could just print the list of everything in the folder.
However if I try to print, it offers to print the actual images only.

You could try:

I had another (freeware) program ages ago but didn’t keep it because I never used it. Try a web search.

Or, open a Command Prompt, CD to the folder where your images are and type dir *.tif /s > dir.txt

That will create a text file – dir.txt in the same folder with every TIFF file in the folder and any sub-folders listed.

The /s tells the command to include sub folders.

For .PSDs you would use *.psd and for all files *.*

I found the freeware program. It is small (1.7MB); easy to use, and very configurable.

There’s lots of good stuff on that site.
