Negitive PDF image? Created in PS CS on a Mac

Why a negitive PDF image appears to the reciever when emailing the PDF file? Image created in PS CS on a Mac OSX Panther. I "save as" to a JPG to reduce file size, then in preview export to a PDF. It is correct when I view it and even check it in the send box after I sent the email, but the reciever gets a negitive image.

what is the point of resaving as PDF if you saved as Jpg.

Just send the jpeg.

Because the PDF’s are more universal to download then a jpg and I also place them on a website.
