I’m not sure which forum to post this on so I will start here.

Never used Adobe Postscript Fonts much…

1 – Are they "soft fonts" like True Type Fonts or are they in the hardware of the Printer?
2 – Are there zillions of free ones out there like True Type fonts or must you buy each Adobe Font?
3 – What is the difference… other than the brand name and/or manufacturer… between Adobe Fonts and True Type Fonts? (Other than they discussion about which one looks better?)
4 – Must you have a special printer or special module or something to use Adobe Postscript Fonts?
5 – What is the diffeence between a Postscript Printer and a regular Laser Printer or Ink Jet Printer?

I’m a PC user and have always used True Type Fonts because they were so plentful and easy and seemed to look fine… but I really want to learn about Adobe Postscript Fonts…

So, maybe someone will be kind enough to educate this newbie on this subject.

thanks in advance for any help.
