I Pasted an Image, then hit Ctrl+U, for Hue and Satuation, and nothing came up!!! AGH! What can i do!

Does it work if you don’t do it via keyboard shortcuts?

Yes. And it’s really easy on a Mac, because all of the Preference folders are easy to find. I always have more trouble hunting it down on the XP machine.
