Exporting Transparent Graysacale Images Problem – HELP

Can someome tell me why, when I try to export my transparent grayscale, 8-bit image using the Export Transparent Image wizard, the window that pops up with the export has turned into an RGB 8-bit file? Where is this coming from? It’s driving me nuts. I’ve never had this problem before – is it a setting that I missed somewhere?

This is something I did all the time in PS 7 without problem.
