Info Palette CMYK 16 bit switchs to 8 bit

Hi all.

In Photoshop CS2 Info palette, why cannot I set CMYK 16 bit mode? If I set the first or second readout to CMYK 16 bit, it switchs to CMYK 8 bit mode. This is independent from any open image and from first or second readout.

Because there is no way to view 16 bit CMYK values, only percentages.
